NYSAMT is made up of committees which carry out the work and tasks of the Association.

What we are here for
Support NYSAMT in being an official nonprofit corporation in New York State by maintaining compliance and organization to support music therapists.
What we do
Keep the association organized with its structure, management, function, and fundraising via communication about bylaws, organization of documents, and administration of financials.

Foster connection and communication between New York State Music Therapists.
What we do
Provide updates, news, and outreach to NYSAMT members and music therapy professionals in NY state via social media platforms, a public website, and email newsletters.

Create a more inclusive environment for clinicians across New York State and to empower music therapists to continuously work through their unconscious biases.
What we do
Oversee our organization’s growth through facilitating open dialogues centered around anti-oppressive practices (i.e., anti-ableist, anti-racism).

What we are here for
Creating a welcoming professional space for New York State Music Therapists and Music Therapy Students.
What we do
Provide a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for NYSAMT members to ask questions and receive support, as well as being a liaison to the Executive Board with any member issues or concerns. To foster and increase membership through communication with New York State Music Therapists and Music Therapy Students.
